STUDIO NIZZOLI e Associati for STILNOVO. Italy. Goletta" wall lamp. 1969 Aluminum reflector disc. Housing in white plastic material. Measurements: 36 x 36 x 15 cm. Wall or ceiling lamp designed by Studio Nizzoli Associati, and produced by Stilnovo in 1969. It has a flared shape and a particular internal arrangement: concentric circles in levels that help to control the light emission. The whole is wrapped in a pop and scenographic patina characteristic of Stilnovo lamps. Goletta is one of the first examples of Stilnovo's use of plastic materials.

His lampshade in hemicycle forms a hemisphere with the plane of intersection below the height of the diameter. Ceiling lamp. France, ca. 1950's. Bronze. Measurements: 37 cm diameter. Lamps with pulley and counterweight for height adjustment became popular in the 1950's, especially in avant-garde circles. The burnished and gilded bronze of the cylindrical counterweight and of the shade in the form of a saucer give simplicity, quality and elegance to the set.
