SEVELLEC Jim-Eugène (1897-1971) - HENRIOT QUIMPER Two polychrome enameled earthenware bookends depicting little girls in aprons. Signed with "Henriot/ Quimper" marks and number "161" for one under the base (glazing defects). Height Height : 15 cm Sévellec is undoubtedly one of the finest artists ever to have worked in Quimper earthenware. He collaborated with Manufacture Henriot from 1928, where he created decorations for the "Service aux Marins", small figures for the "Procession", the "Noce" and the "Gavotte", and a series of statues depicting naval lads, children and family scenes.
