Type 1796 rifleman's saber, four-prong bronze hilt and shell decorated with a flaming grenade, quillon hallmarked:"K" and "J" in an oval, oval skullcap, filigree leather-covered fuse; straight flat blade, flat back marked "KLINGENTHAL" (apocryphal), point in the extension of the back, leather scabbard with three bronze fittings, two brass bélière studs as well as the chappe button, iron stinger, L 115 cm (later leather); composite sold as is.
