Maison VEDDER Paris (1842-1876) Rosewood, mahogany, light wood and green-stained wood veneered chiffonier with inlaid cubes. It opens with a drawer in the waistband, a flap revealing pigeonholes and drawers simulating three large drawers, and 4 drawers in the lower section. Rounded mounts with inlaid fluting, sinuous base resting on staved feet. Beautiful ornamentation of chased gilded bronzes in the Louis XVI style. Vedder nameplate. Large flat desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer, the top trimmed in olive-green morocco, set in a gilded brass moulding. It opens with three drawers, three secrets and two leather-covered pulls. It stands on four sheath feet terminating in bronze sabots. Louis XVI style, H: 77.5 cm, W: 191 cm, D: 99 cm. Minor damage to veneer and leather, cigarette holes.
