Biblia sacra juxta vulgatam quam dicunt editionem. Parisiis, Carolum Guillard, Gulielmum Desboys, 1549. In-folio of (14) 811-214 (127) pp. second edition of the Vulgate annotated by Jean Benoît, after the original published by Simon de Colines in 1541. Printed by Guillaume Desboys and Charlotte Guillard, one of the most famous women printers of the Renaissance. First-issue copy without "secunda editio" on the title. Title page entirely annotated in the 16th century, a few annotations in the text. Bound in full brown leather, period boards with double framing of fillets and vegetal ornamentation at spandrels, modern spine entirely rebound. Handwritten inscription at top of flyleaf "Cardinal Pietro à Rome". (boards rubbed, title page restored, slight traces of wetness). Expert : Mr. Nicolas Asvisio.
