BAOULE, IVORY COAST. Weaving loom stirrup. A schematization of the body's shape, in line with the traditional use of these objects for weaving. A late work, carved in light wood with darker shades, the long, emaciated neck announces an oval face with pronounced features; the naturalistic nose, with flared nostrils, is skilfully linked to the superciliary arches.
