Claudius LINOSSIER (1893-1953). Cup in hammered red and gold copper dinanderie decorated with a scalloped border. Signed on the reverse border. Diameter: 18.5 cm (small scratches) Claudius Linossier, born in Lyon, is a master of Art Deco goldsmithing, chaser, engraver, enameler and lacquerer. Trained at Berger-Nesme, he has worked with Jean Dunand and exhibited in prestigious cities such as New York and Milan. Awarded the Grand Prix at the 1937 Universal Exhibition, he bequeathed some of his work to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon.
