Pissarro", Paris, sd, 1 p. in-8, addressed to his wife Julie and written at the end of a L.A.S. from their Jeanne to the latter (2 pp. and ½): Jeanne Pissarro apologizes for her delay in writing to him, her portrait is not finished, the maid has arrived safely, Lucien has received the eggs, Rodolphe doesn't yet know if he will go there with the cousin, she sends him her newspapers and has paid Louise's wages... Camille continues: "My dear Julie, I'm in the middle of working on the figure painting, I'm far from finished, I can't say when I'll be finished, besides, what will I do in Eragny? With the uncertain weather, I'd have to start all over again with the same motifs from up close... and then with the painters and masons in the house, I'd be doing a very bad job [...]" He thinks it would be "a big mistake to turn the dining room into a bedroom" facing north: "Eragny is cold enough without going north".
