A PAIR OF LARGE TORCHÈRES Four-lights each, bronze with patinas. Marked "Lacarrière Frères & Delantour, Paris" (ca. 1880). France, 19th century. Dim.: 181x60 cm. Note: Lacarrière company was founded in Paris in 1825 and was specialized in bronze for lighting. Participated in international exhibitions (won a medal in 1851) and made the famous chandelier for the Garnier Opera in the 1870's.
