The Last Supper (France, circa 1815) The Last Supper. Les Tableaux. History and abridgement of the New Testament dedicated to Youth. Patience game. Patience is the key to success (France, circa 1815). Strong cardboard case, covered with glue paper, size 26.5 x 35 cm. Double title label glued on top. It contains a tray with cardboard base and wooden edges, oblong format 34.8 x 26.2 cm, in which is stored a colored engraving - The Last Supper, after the painting by Leonardo da Vinci, engraved by Ducollet - glued to wood and cut into a puzzle (48 pieces). Religious-themed puzzle. No publisher's mark. Well-preserved in its thick slipcase, it has minor flaws: some foxing, one small piece missing, snags on the slipcase. Early 19th-century French jigsaw puzzles are extremely rare.
