In-4 black calf, spine ribbed, gilt title, first board decorated with a large mosaic gilt bull's head, gilt head, in slipcase. The binding was created by artist Hans Erni for the publisher. 37 original lithographs in black and color. Edition of 1,530 copies; no. 987 of 1,220 on large Lana vellum, with an attractive ORIGINAL DRAWING (dove) in graphite with autograph signed letter from the artist to Lucien René.

Book object consisting of an in-8 square paperback volume, double cover in red silk and printed on red paper, in an aluminum sculpture slipcase, accompanied by a suite of nine movable plates engraved on anodically oxidized and bath-colored aluminum, reserved for the top 135 copies on Johannot pur fil vellum. The book sculpture and the aluminum engravings are signed and numbered by the author in steelpoint. Spotting and dampening in the paperback volume.
