Durner, Jürgen - born 1964 in Nuremberg, "Amazonen" oil/canvas, modern city scene in Berlin in the mirror of a shop window, enclosed original invoice, 12.800, ca. 171x271cm. Durner studied from 1984 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Prof. Christine Colditz, with whom he graduated as a master student in 1992, after a scholarship at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, he received, among others, the German Art Prize, Frankfurt/Main, the Lucas Cranach Prize of the City of Kronach, the Debutant Prize of the Bavarian State Government and in 2016 the Special Publisher's Prize at the Art Prize of the Nürnberger Nachrichten, Kunsthaus Nürnberg, currently the artist lives and works in Berlin and has had exhibitions in Munich and Berlin in recent years.
