V.", with counterpart, bust portrait of the cotton goods manufacturer Julius Dreysel in a black coat with grey waistcoat, white shirt and black bow tie, old label on the reverse "Julius Ferdinand Dreysel, Baumwollenwarenfabrikant [sic.], * 17.06.1809 Plauen i. V. † 2.3.1867 Plauen i. V. ⚭ 26.9.1833 Plauen i. V.", Julius Dreysel was also active as an embroidery manufacturer in Plauen, after his early death in 1867 his widow Fridericke Dreysel continued to run the company together with the merchant Karl Wilhelm Dreysel, glazed painting, oil on blocked wooden panel, c. 1840, unsigned, some colour shrinkage, old retouches, minimally in need of restoration, originally framed as pendants, rebate dimensions each c. 75 x 65 cm.
