Persian rug, first half of the twentieth century. Hand knotted wool. It has marks of use and wear. Measurements: 302 x 231 cm. Iranian carpet organized with a central field of sapphire blue on which develop complex floral patterns and bouquets that arise from a central rosette. Rosettes, corollas, scrolls and rosettes are intertwined in a very attractive vegetal tracery. It also has a triple border with foliate and vegetal motifs in garlands. Complementary colors: red, different shades of blue, yellow, ochre, black.

Caucasian rug, late 19th - early 20th century. Hand-knotted wool. Measurements: 341 x 363 cm. Caucasian hand-knotted rug. It has a black and maroon field. From the central rosette unfold highly synthetic plant motifs forming arabesques and floral designs. The border is composed of four bands, decorated with borders of synthesized geometric and floral motifs. Complementary colors: white, black, green, yellow and various shades of brown and beige. Caucasian rugs have a long history dating back to the 2nd century B.C. They became popular in Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries, and were often used in wealthy homes and palaces. Caucasian rugs remain popular today and are prized for their beauty, quality and craftsmanship.
