Festival Schöneberger Sängerknaben partly handwritten and dated 1952, blazer with emblem and album with photographs, newspaper articles and children's drawings, the boys' choir was founded in 1947 by Gerhard Hellwig, just two years after its foundation Heinz Tietjen, then director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, engaged the choir for his theatre, in total the boys performed in more than 3100 performances, from 1954 at the Bayreuth Festival among others, traces of age.

Wilhelm Beindorf, "Capri" Rocky coastal landscape with effective sea spray in bright sunlight, Impressionist pastel drawing, signed, inscribed and dated "Beindorf - Capri [19]37" lower right, old owner's annotation on the reverse, framed behind glass in silver moulding, folded dimensions approx. 36.5 x 49 cm. Artist information: actually Wilhelm Walter Hermann Beindorf, German philosopher, architect, painter, fresco artist, church painter, draughtsman and graphic artist (1887 Suhlendorf/Uelzen to 1969 Marktleuthen/Franconia), 1902-05 pupil of court painter Prof. Bruno Wiese, studied at the Berlin Academy from 1905, later further training in Munich, received portrait commissions in Riga in 1914, interned as a German as a result of the outbreak of the First World War. In 1918, he escaped from captivity and returned to Berlin; from 1922, he increasingly created architectural art; from 1922-25, he spent time working at Chiuza Castle and Bistritz in Transylvania, Romania; from the 1920s, he was a member of the board of the "Juryfreie Kunstausstellung" Berlin, shared a studio with Gertrude Helmholz in Berlin 1931-34, exhibited at the Great German Art Exhibition at the House of German Art in Munich in 1937 as well as exhibitions in Berlin, Cairo, Stockholm, Venice and Buenos Aires, member of the Reichskammer der Bildenden Künste and the Frontkämpferbund bildender Künstler, from 1944 military service in the Second World War, after 1945 temporarily resident in Berlin. After 1945 he lived for a time in Schmiedebach in Thuringia, from 1946 he worked in Marktleuthen in the Fichtelgebirge, where he wrote philosophical works for a time, from 1948 he was a member of the Freemasons, 1955-62 he spent time with his daughter in Hawaii, 1962 he returned to Marktleuthen and created the picture cycle "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" on behalf of the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodges of Germany, source: Vollmer, AKL, Dressler and Wikipedia.
