Grätz, Th. - Theodor Grätz, 1859 Hamburg-Altona - 1947 Munich, "Der Blumenstrauss wird bestaunt", drawing/ink with bold chalk heightened in white/paper, signed lower right, minimally stained, matted, approx. 35x37cm, framed behind glass, approx. 51x61cm. Graetz, Theodor, German painter and illustrator, pupil of the Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg, studied from 1880 at the Munich Academy under Ludwig von Löfftz, worked as an illustrator and caricaturist for the Munich "Fliegenden Blätter" (Braun & Schneider), and 1890-97 employee of the "Münchner Bilderbogen", Member of the Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands, the Verband Deutscher Illustratoren and the Münchner Sezession, represented at numerous exhibitions, including several times at the Munich Glaspalast, the exhibitions of the Münchner Sezession and the Große Berliner Kunstausstellung, active in Munich, source: Thieme-Becker, Dressler, Matrikel der Akademie München, Bruckmann "Münchner Maler des 19.
