Wöhner, Louis - 1888 Coburg - 1958 Munich, "Viermaster", oil on canvas, large sailing ship on a coast with house and small boats, slightly soiled, min. hole in the canvas, c. 60x76cm, ra. dam, c. 73x93cm, German painter, from 1913 Wöhner studied at the academy of arts in Munich under Peter Halm, Carl von Marr and Hugo von Habermann, in 1918 he won a poster competition, from 1920 his paintings could be seen in the Munich Glaspalast. The late impressionist also exhibited regularly at the Munich Artists' Cooperative, of which he was a member. In 1927 and 1956 he showed his work at special exhibitions, and in 1938, 1939, 1940, 1943 and 1944 he was represented at the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich with six oil paintings.
