Prisons - Manuscript. Manuscript copy (late 19th century) of a statement of political prisoners drawn up in the autumn of 1811. Sl, sd. In-folio of 104 ff. ruled in pencil, 98 of which handwritten in fine calligraphy, half red basane, smooth spine (period binding). Copy of a type of archival document found exclusively in public repositories. On the front of the first page, it bears the following indication: "The original of this manuscript was found in 1878 in a cupboard at the Ministry of Justice while I was Director of Criminal Affairs. Before depositing it in the National Archives, I had it copied. G. Picot."
