Giese studied at the Düsseldorf academy and under Ludwig Dill (1848-1940) in Munich, then worked in Dresden and lived in Munich again since 1900, he exhibited his coloristically charming, atmospheric landscapes, for which he liked to choose motifs from water-rich areas such as Holland and the Spreewald and the sea coast, since about 1890 in the Munich Glaspalast, at the great Berlin art exhibition, in the Künstlerhaus in Vienna and others, in 1900 an extensive collective exhibition with works from 10 creative years took place in Munich.
