He studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg between 1958 and 1967. His workshop was in Igensdorf; his works are omnipresent in Franconia (e.g. in Hof, Coburg, Nuremberg, Fürth, Effeltrich, Igensdorf, Eschenau and Forchheim). Particularly beautiful sculptures can be found in the park of Unterleinleiter Castle.
