Thein, Heinrich - Wall plates - ceramic, relief mark 'Meissen' and monogrammed, 6 rectangular wall plates, deep hollowed, six different fine figure reliefs, 'Allegories of Love', in original case, min. signs of age, approx. 13 x 13 cm Artist information: Thein, Heinrich, 1888 Nuremberg - 1969 Haßfurt am Main, expressive small sculptor, after a pottery apprenticeship in Lauf he worked from 1925 as artistic director of the Sächsische Ofen- und Wandplatten-Werke in Meissen, between 1945 and 1947 he was head of the design department at the state porcelain manufactory Meissen, later he also worked as a freelance artist
