Thein, Heinrich - Reliefs - cooper - stoneware, two-tone, 12 tiles, ten with Meissen incised mark and ligatured monogram to the front, two unmarked, the front with finely detailed reliefs depicting various allegories, the reverse with embossed coat of arms, meander band and marked "Wolken am Tegernsee", minimal signs of age, in original case, approx. 13 x 13 cm Artist information: Thein, Heinrich, 1888 Nuremberg - 1969 Haßfurt am Main, expressive small sculptor, after a pottery apprenticeship in Lauf he worked from 1925 as artistic director of the Sächsische Ofen- und Wandplatten-Werke in Meissen, between 1945 and 1947 he was head of the design department at the Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen, later he also worked as a freelance artist
