Thein, Heinrich - Relief painting - ceramic, red Böttcher stoneware, portrait head in profile of Heinrich Thein, signed and dat. 1912, rectangular, profiled, unmarked, minimal signs of age, outer dimensions approx. 22 x 16 cm Provenance: Estate of the Thein family Artist information: Thein, Heinrich, 1888 Nuremberg - 1969 Haßfurt am Main, expressive small sculptor, after a pottery apprenticeship in Lauf he worked from 1925 as artistic director of the Sächsische Ofen- und Wandplatten-Werke in Meissen, between 1945 and 1947 he was head of the design department at the Staatliche Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen, later he also worked as a freelance artist
