PAIR OF SABRES from West Africa, Mandé people, Mali, second half of the 20th century. Local hammered iron blades, polychrome brown, red and black leather mounts and woven basketry. Lengths without scabbards 62 cm and 67 cm. Complete with lines and fringed tassels, wear from use, accident to the end of one scabbard.
