CLAUDE FAVIER ORENDAIN (Guadalajara, Jalisco, 1931). "Squatting female figure". Bronze, specimen 34/50. Signed and numbered on the base. Measurements: 10 x 8 x 8 cm. Priest, intellectual, writer, architect, sculptor and illustrator, Claude Favier Orendain received the following awards for his artistic career: Gold Medal for 12 drypoint engravings at the International Biennial of Rome in 1963; Carmen Arrocera Prize for his engraving entitled Estampas mexicanas in Madrid in 1975; and the Sculpture Prize for Conjuro a la Mar at the 4th Biennial Exhibition of Pontevedra, Galicia, in 1980.
