Andreas Achenbach, 1815 Kassel-1910 DüsseldorfView of Worms with the #'mountain church#' St.Petri in Hochheim in the foreground, a thunderstorm with lightning and dark clouds ismoving over the city, oil/canvas, doubled, signed lower left and dated. 1830, approx. 41x48cm, frame approx. 47x54cm; Achenbach studied at the age of 12 at the Düsseldorf Academy with Schadow and Schirmer, the presentpainting was exhibited in 2014/15 in the Museum for Childhood and Youth Works by Important Artists in Halle/Westphalia, Lit.
