António Teixeira Cabral was a caricaturist who began his artistic activity in the late 1920s. He worked with the personal caricature, integrated in the Portuguese modernism, standing out for its synthetic trait of critical sense and subtle humor. As a curiosity it is worth mentioning that the artist's self-caricature was constantly inserted in his work together with the image of the portrayed person.
