MANUEL PRIOR (Puertollano, 1933). "Street of Fortuna". Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Titled and signed on the back. Measurements: 46 x 55 cm; 58 x 69 cm (frame). Manuel Prior is a self-taught master, who began in the trade with fourteen years and was able to expand his knowledge thanks to his travels in France, Germany and Austria, in 1954. When he settled in Madrid, he attended the drawing workshops of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, and in 1963 he became a member of the well-known "Grupo Castilla 63" together with Onésimo Ancciones, Elena Así, Julio Plaza, etc. His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions (Madrid, Seville, Santander, Mexico, Lisbon, New York, Copenhagen, etc.), and is preserved in important private collections and in various institutions (Provincial Museum of Ciudad Real, Museum of Fine Arts of San Eloy, Museum of Ayllon, Municipal Museum of Puertollano, etc.).
