EMILI FERRER I ESPEL (Barcelona, 1899-1970). "Mexican night". Watercolor on paper. Signed in the upper right corner. Measurements: 29 x 34 cm; 45 x 50 cm (frame). Drawer and illustrator, Emili Ferrer studied at the Escola d'Art de Barcelona. From a very young age he collaborated in the first advertising agency that was created in Barcelona and, later, in Madrid agencies, being a faithful collaborator of Pedro Prat Gaballí. He participated in the Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris (1925), obtaining a Silver Medal. Co-founder of Klaxon (1930). Participated in the pavilion of the Spanish Republic (Paris, 1937). Main illustrator of the Barcelona magazine D'Ací i d'Allà (1918), he also worked in the Madrid newspapers El Sol, La Voz, ABC, El Hogar y la Moda, La Esfera, La Gaceta Literaria, La Veu de Catalunya and Blanco y Negro.
