Antonio Escobar studied Fine Arts at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. He continued his training in New York at the Pratt Graphics Center in 1978 with a scholarship from the North American Hispanic Committee for Educational and Cultural Affairs to study engraving. Since 1971 he has exhibited in galleries in Madrid, New York, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Florence, Santander, Hamburg and Suzhou (China).
