TISSOT Research Idea 2001 Skeleton watch. Transparent. Red color. Seventies. Black plastic case. Dial with golden inner bezel with Arabic numerals and machinery in sight. Baton type dials. Second hand with red tip, at the center. Plexiglass crystal. Red strap with white central stripe and pin buckle, all original of the watch. Hand-wound mechanical movement. It works. Measurements: 45 x 38.5 mm (case without crown). The Tissot Research IDEA 2001 was launched in 1972 as an economical mechanical watch to fight against quartz. The Caliber 2250 movement is hermetically sealed is mostly self-lubricating plastic. Surprisingly, the only metal parts are the keyless mechanism, pivots, balance and springs. The idea behind the IDEA was to have a disposable Swiss watch that was super affordable. It is a rare piece on the market and highly prized by collectors. In the description of the watches when it is marked "in running condition" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All the photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
