Very fine antique Isfahan RUG, Iran. High-quality silky wool velvet, with a few touches of silk on silk foundations (silk warp, weft and fringe). Beige field with original polychrome flowering palmettes and bulb sowing, surrounded by multicolored twisted serrated foliage, framing a large central rosette with polychrome floral crown. Four spandrels with original floral composition. Five borders, the main one in ruby. Circa 1940. Size: 218 x 145 cm. Density: approx. 10000 knots per dm2. (Good general condition)
