One vol. in-4 [247 x 315] on white vellum, leaves, illustrated with 62 in-text burin engravings. Laboureur 404. One of 301 copies, very fresh, numbered and signed by the artist. Printed japanese cover, publisher's green ribbon boards and slipcase. "In 1927, Petiet embarked on the adventure of luxury publishing. His choice was Paul-Jean Toulet's Les Contrerimes. He entrusted the illustrations to Jean-Émile Laboureur, his favorite artist, whose fine, uncluttered burins were a perfect match for these refined poems with their sophisticated form. In order to finance this adventure, the publisher divested himself of his prestigious library: the sale of his precious works guaranteed him the necessary funds".
