Romanesque silver CALICE, the pedestal decorated with a frieze of lilies and a medallion bearing the effigy of Saint Therese of Alençon. Minerve hallmark. The silver-gilt paten features the Last Supper. H: 18cm. Paten diameter: 15cm. Weight : 359,6g Master silversmith: Charles-Frédéric Berger and Henri Nesme. From December 16, 1889 to 1924 at 25 montée du Chemin-Neuf, then in 1900 at 122 rue Saint-Georges, Lyon. The Nesme family of silversmiths was renowned in Lyon in the early 18th and 19th centuries, particularly for church and table silverware.
