Rives based on Salvador Dali's watercolors to illustrate Dante's Divine Comedy. Each volume includes a leaflet listing the songs and 34 engravings for Hell, 33 for Purgatory and 33 for Paradise. Raymond Jacquet and Jean Tarrico used around 3,500 woodcuts to engrave the illustrations. Each engraving signed in the plate and mounted under a passepartout bearing Dali's printed signature. Limited edition of 500 numbered copies, this one no. 364. (some engravings uniformly foxed, traces of glue due to mounting in the margins of several engravings, apocryphal signature on the justification).
