Manuscript document, c. 1880. Folio, 305x213 mm. P. 1, 3 blank. Sheet on printed letterhead "Ministere de la Marine et des Colonies" with date '188...', text in French, cursive script, black ink. Good condition. Handwritten note from the Ministry of the Navy regarding the agreement made between the Minister of the Navy, on behalf of the State, and the Western and Brazilian Telegraph Company, "... pour l'entreprise d'un service telegraphique entre Cayenne et Demerara, d'une part, Cayenne et Para de l'autre." It certifies the cancellation of the contract in 1878: "La Compagnie, a la suite d'une interruption de de deux ans dans son service, fu frappee de decheance en 1878." Folio, 305x213 mm. P. 1, 3 blanks. Sheet on headed printed paper "Ministere de la Marine et des Colonies" with date '188...', text in French, cursive writing, black ink. Good condition.
