PAIR OF KUTANI PORCELAIN VASES Japan, late Meiji period (1868-1912) Baluster-shaped, decorated with figures on one side and branches of flowers on the other, the neck widely flared and lobed, decorated with landscapes and branches of flowers in cartouches on a gold background enamelled with flowers and foliage, the handles openwork in the form of elephant heads, Hizosan kanaezo mark on the base; chips. H. 61.5 cm. (One broken/glued neck).
