FRANCE, Dernier tiers du XVIIIème siècle A silver ( 950 ) oil and vinegar cruet in the form of a quadripod cradle edged with foliate fillets and grape vines, with circular corkscrews decorated with ribbon bows holding oval medallions (virgins) and leaf falls. Two circular baskets with openwork uprights adorned with scrolls linked by laurel garlands. Goldsmith's hallmark: Alexis MICALEF, Maître in Paris in 1756, where he remained until 1773, when he left for Lyon. PARIS, Charge [A] and Discharge [helmeted head] hallmarks for Oct. 1768-Nov. 1774 and Jurande [H] for 1771. Net weight: 815 g. - 9 x 27.5cm. With two blue and colorless lined glass flasks, engraved with leaves, mounted. H. 17.2 cm approx. A few scratches.
