Two retractable hand faces in brown sea turtle shell (Chelonioidea spp) (pre-Convention) and gilt silver (min. 800), glass and metal. Second half of the 19th century. Width: 12.2 cm and 13.6 cm. Total gross weight: 43 g. Some eating, scratching and wear. ATTACHED: Two pairs of silver (min 800) gilt-metal spectacles, clear or tinted lenses. One pair from 1809-1819 and the other from the second half of the 19th century. Width: 12.2 cm and 11.3 cm. Gross weight: 29 g Broken glass, scratches and wear. In a brown leather case with gilded fleur-de-lis decoration (wear and stains). Hawksbill specimens of pre-Convention marine turtle Chelonioidea spp (I/A), predating June 1, 1947 and therefore in compliance with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc. In the case of export, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to check with the customs authorities of the country concerned, particularly the United States, prior to any purchase. If the animal is to be exported from the European Union, a CITES re-export permit will be required, at the expense of the future buyer.
