The author began as an apprentice weaver, then specialized in drawing maps, opening a printing house in Milan. Folio album, (422 x 560 mm) ff. 28, including the two title-pages, illustrating the complete large map of Italy, with watercolored borders; preceded by a watercolored plate illustrating how to unfold the sheets to assemble the large map (some wear).
