PETRARCA (1304-1374). Il Petrarca di nuovo ristampato. Venice: Zaltieri, 1592. Copy never seen at auction (RBH) of this 'Petrarchino,' the name used to indicate small-format editions of Petrarch's Canzoniere designed to accompany courtiers and help them in quoting passages by the eminent poet. 24mo, (92 x 45mm). Portrait of Laura and Petrarch to A7v, woodcut vignettes at the beginning of each of the six Triumphs (small stains to the margins, slight browning and some foxing, title page with small losses to the inner margin occurring during binding) 19th-century full calf binding, title gilt to spine.
