Dimitri Tiomkin Document Signed for It's a Wonderful Life Academy Award-winning composer (1894-1979) of over 140 film scores, including High Noon, Giant, and The Old Man and the Sea Partly-printed DS, eight pages, 8.5 x 13, August 1, 1946. Agreement between Dimitri Tiomkin and Liberty Films by which the composer is employed "as a musical director in connection with the motion picture now entitled 'It's a Wonderful Life.'" Neatly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Tiomkin, and countersigned by a Liberty Films vice president. Stapled into its original blue folder. In fine condition. Accompanied by a salary card for his services on the film. Renowned for his lush, emotive film scores, Dimitri Tiomkin was tapped to compose the music for Frank Capra's 1946 Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life. Enhancing its heartwarming and sentimental narrative, Tiomkin's score is celebrated for its ability to evoke deep emotions and complement the film's yuletide themes of hope, family, and redemption.

Judy Garland Document Signed for I Could Go On Singing DS, 22 pages, 8.5 x 11, September 26, 1961. Agreement between Judy Garland and Millar/Turman Productions in which she agrees to "render her services as an actress to portray the role of Jenny Bowman in the motion picture photoplay tentatively entitled 'The Lonely Stage'" for fixed compensation of $200,000 plus 10% of gross receipts in excess of $3,000,000. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Judy Garland, and countersigned by the producer. In fine condition, with light creasing and the last page detached from the staple. I Could Go On Singing stars Judy Garland in her final film performance alongside Dirk Bogarde and Jack Klugman. Directed by Ronald Neame, the 1963 musical drama was originally titled The Lonely Stage, but renamed so that audiences would know that Garland sings in it—she had not sung in a film since 1954's A Star Is Born. Reviewing the film in the New York Herald Tribune, Judith Crist wrote: 'You'll see her in close-up...in beautiful, glowing Technicolor and striking staging in a vibrant, vital performance that gets to the essence of her mystique as a superb entertainer. Miss Garland is—as always—real, the voice throbbing, the eyes aglow, the delicate features yielding to the demands of the years—the legs still long and lovely. Certainly the role of a top-rank singer beset by the loneliness and emotional hungers of her personal life is not an alien one to her.'

Apple Computer Large 'Rainbow Logo' Sign from Cupertino Company Headquarters (1997) Large Apple Computer, Inc. ‘rainbow logo’ exterior office building sign removed from the company's Cupertino corporate headquarters in 1997, measuring approximately 46″ x 49″ x 1.5″, constructed from stiff foam with colorful applied vinyl stripes in green, yellow, orange, red, purple, and blue. The stem piece is separate, and both pieces have mounting hangers on the reverse. In very good condition, with edgewear, surface craquelure, peeling at transitions, and other overall wear from exposure to the elements over the years. Apple's iconic rainbow logo, used from 1977 to 1997, features a multicolored apple with a bite taken out of it. Designed by Rob Janoff at the request of Steve Jobs, the logo became synonymous with Apple's user-friendly technology during its early years. The colorful design was phased out in favor of a monochrome version in the mid-1990s, and thus removed from the company's Silicon Valley HQ. Provenance: removed from the side of Building 3, where it faced east and could be seen from a distance as one headed north on highway 280, and given to a longtime Apple employee in 1997; sold at Bonhams as part of lot 187, The Story of the 20th Century, June 4, 2014.
