Elegant counterfeit of the 1527 edition of Boccaccio's Decameron printed in only 300 copies and published at the request of the English consul Joseph Smith, reproducing the typeface and printer's device of the original version but correcting pagination errors. 4to, (230 x 165mm). Printer's device to title and colophon (fleur-de-lis supported by two putti), wide margins (some staining otherwise a very good copy). Contemporary full vellum binding with blue speckled edges. (1)
