Olympic Games/ Winter, 2006/ Turin. THE official torch. This torch, bearing the signature "20th Olympic Winter Games, Turin..." with logos and rings, is signed by master designer Pininfarina. Measuring 77 cm, it is said to bear a vague resemblance to the Ferrari prancing horse. In any case, under its steel-blue cloak, this aluminum-alloy marvel has given Italy some lovely snowflakes after those of Cortina in 1956... Fifty years on, and the sacred fire hasn't aged a bit, the torch has even been rejuvenated and given a modern, feline look... It will have travelled 11,300 km before burning on site.
