GRENOBLE 1968. Set of three official winners' medals, Gold, Silver and Bronze, for the Ice Hockey events at the X Olympic Winter Games. The Soviet Union won the tournament ahead of Czechoslovakia and Canada. The medals have a pictogram representing the sport on the reverse. Designed by Roger Excoffon. The gold medal is in vermeil (hallmarks), weight 124 grs, diameter 60 mm, smooth edge 3.3 mm with its ribbon in the Olympic colors. The silver medal, weight 115 grs in silver, diameter 60 mm, smooth edge 3.3 mm, with ribbon in Olympic colors. The bronze medal, weight 111 grs in bronze, diameter 60 mm, smooth edge 4 mm. The three medals are in their presentation box. Very good condition. Extremely rare set (never seen for sale). Items Museum pieces.
