Description

BERLIN 1936 Silver medal for René Bougnol's second-place finish in the team foil event with the Gardère brothers, Coutrot, Bondoux and Lemoine at the XI Summer Olympic Games. He also won two gold medals in the team foil event, in 1932 in Los Angeles and 1948 in London. Matte silver medal, weight 73 grs, diameter 55 mm. Design by Giuseppe Cassioli. Inscription on the edge: B.H. Mayer Pforzheim. Manufactured in 320 pieces, official report reference (pp 124, 125). Graded and certified under shell by PC65-MS64. Very good condition.
