Olympic Games/ Summer, 1924/ Paris/ Marathon/ Program of the VIII Olympiad, Paris 1924 The program for Sunday July 13, 1924: "Program of the VIII Olympiad, Paris 1924, Program of the Olympic Games" (with Orsi's javelin thrower). This is the only official program published by the French Olympic Committee. Price 1 f. 27 x 22 cm Condition On this day (n°51), it's discus, 400m flat, 10,000m walk, 3000m team race, and 4x400 relay final, but also and above all MARATHON (event 8, 5pm start...We pass through Pierrelaye, the Patte d'Oie d'Herblay, and after 21km 300, we turn off at Pontoise. There are six controls (making eleven with the two passages), and the race director is Dr.René Cazalis. Two numbers at random: 334 (Stenroos, the future Finnish winner), and 372 (El Ouafi, who would win 4 years later). On 14 pages, all the details, the officials, the course, etc., but also a double directory of all the athletes at the Games, by bib number and in alphabetical order. This allows us to find Géo André (345), Lewden (393), Liddell (451) etc. and Nurmi, 323.
