Description

Marcel André BOURAINE (1886-1948) French sculptor who studied sculpture under J.A. Falguière. He exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries in 1922 and went on to become one of the most representative sculptors of Art Deco. Bronze sculpture "La Joueuse de Tennis". The sculptor took part in the Art competition for the 1924 Paris Olympic Games, where he presented 13 sculptures, including the tennis player. Signed on the terrace, stamped AC Fondeur, Paris. Height 40 cm. Museum piece.
