Description

Italo ORSI (Lucca, 1889 - Lucca, 1947) Original gouache from the official poster for the 8th Summer Olympic Games, Paris 1924. An Italian illustrator, cartoonist and poster artist, Orsi lived in Lucca at the start of his career, around 1910, where he produced irreverent caricatures. With over a thousand posters, including some for Josephine Baker, he simply signed his illustrations "ORSI" in capital letters. The artist's work in fine original condition (some restoration and simple conservation canvas). Dimensions 62x88 cm. Framed under glass. Museum piece.
