Aprox: Suporte: 49,5x70 cm # Molina (1926-2002) Liberto Molins Barnabeu (1926-2002), mais conhecido como Molina, nasceu em Espanha, mas foi em Portugal que se veio a tornar conhecido, acabando por falecer em Lisboa. Foi um artista plástico e pintor. Ao longo da sua vida viveu em vários locais da Europa e da América. A sua formação em pintura e desenho começou em S. Carlos, Valência, mas é no Brasil que se inicia verdadeiramente na pintura, onde estudou Belas-Artes. Em 1967, regressou à Europa, para Barcelona, mas viria a mudar o seu rumo quando recebeu uma proposta de trabalho em Lisboa. Instalando-se em Portugal nesta década. Em Portugal, a sua arte foi reconhecida, tendo a crítica atribuído ao azul forte do seu céu o nome de “azul Molina”. Em 1995, recebeu a Medalha Municipal de Mérito da Câmara Municipal de Loures. Em 2000, cerca de dois anos da sua morte, mudou o rumo da sua pintura, profundamente arquitetónica e criou algumas imagens abstratas que se encontram em coleções privadas. A sua obra encontra-se espalhada por coleções privadas em Portugal, Brasil, Espanha, Chile e Inglaterra.
